About the service

What can I expect from a 1:1 online session?

Your physiotherapist will review your history — whether you’re pregnant, postpartum or navigating menopause — guide you through posture and movement assessments via video, provide tailored exercises and education, and answer your questions. You’ll leave with a clear plan and resources.

Why do you offer online sessions if hands-on treatment is best?

We do think that face-to-face sessions are very valuable. However, we appreciate that not all women have access to a clinic nearby, have the opportunity to leave the house, or prefer not to be examined internally. Online appointments help bridge that gap — making expert pelvic floor care more accessible, flexible, and private while still providing education, exercise guidance and support tailored to you.

How many sessions will I need?

Whilst some women feel like they have everything they need after only one session, others may benefit from a series of appointments. We’ll discuss your goals and progress together to recommend the best plan for you.

Can I combine online and in-person sessions?

Yes. You might start online and later add an in-person follow-up for hands-on work, or vice versa.

How to prepare for the session and what happen after?

How should I prepare for my online session?
  • Quiet, private space with good Wi-Fi
  • Comfortable clothing
  • A little bit of space for movement
  • Any notes or referral letters handy (including details of hormone therapy)
  • A device with a camera and microphone
What should I expect after the session?
  • Personalised exercise plan with clear instructions
  • Follow-up educational resources tailored to your stage (pregnancy, postpartum or menopause)
  • Guidance on next steps and when to book your next appointment
  • Email support for quick questions between sessions
What happens if I don’t see improvement or symptoms worsen?

Let us know promptly. We’ll reassess your plan and, if needed, recommend an in-person assessment or refer you on.

Pregnancy and postpartum

When after giving birth can I have an assessment?

You can book as soon as you feel comfortable. For internal assessments, guidelines often recommend after your 6-week GP check, but online education and advice can start earlier.

Do you offer sessions for pregnancy and postpartum?

Yes. We support women during pregnancy to prepare for birth and after birth for recovery. This includes pelvic floor and core rehabilitation, guidance on safe exercise, and help with bladder or bowel changes.

Menopause

Do you offer sessions for menopause?

Yes. Many women experience pelvic floor changes during perimenopause and menopause due to hormonal shifts. We offer online physiotherapy and education tailored to these needs, including bladder and bowel health, sexual function, and pelvic organ support.

Do menopause-related symptoms improve with physiotherapy?

Yes. Pelvic floor physiotherapy can help with bladder urgency, leakage, prolapse symptoms, sexual function and core strength during perimenopause and menopause. We also signpost you to additional resources such as lifestyle advice and medical support.

Therapists and approach

What qualifications do your physiotherapists have?

All therapists are UK-registered Chartered Physiotherapists with additional training in women’s health, pelvic floor rehabilitation, postpartum recovery and menopause-related pelvic floor care. Every expert is personally vetted — not only for their clinical expertise but also for their caring and empathetic approach.

Will my session involve an internal assessment?

Online sessions focus on history, movement, posture, and guided exercises. Internal examinations can only be done in person, with your consent.

How do you track progress?

We review your goals at each session and adjust your plan. Some clients share short videos or notes between sessions to help us track changes.

Between sessions

Is there support between sessions?

Yes. You’ll receive email support for quick clarifications and can book follow-ups when needed.

How can I contact my physiotherapist between appointments?

After your appointment you will receive a follow-up email from your physiotherapist. You will be able to get in touch with your physiotherapist for quick questions. For urgent medical concerns, please contact your GP or emergency services.

Privacy and safety

How is my privacy protected during online sessions?

All appointments are run on secure, GDPR-compliant platforms. Records are stored confidentially according to UK healthcare standards.

What happens if there’s a technical issue during the session?

If your video drops, we’ll attempt to reconnect immediately. If needed, we’ll switch to phone or reschedule at no charge.

Are there risks or limitations to online physiotherapy compared to in-person?

The main limitation is lack of manual manipulation. We rely on guided self-assessment and may recommend in-person follow-up if indicated.

How much does a session cost and how do I pay?

Do you accept insurance or can I claim reimbursement?
